Let’s get ready to rumbleee!!

Is it just me or is 2012 THE year for rookies in KPOP to debut? It hasn’t even gone half a year since 2012 started and yet, it already seems like 4387467426842086760 groups have debuted. We’re talking B.A.P, NU’EST, EXO, BTOB, JJ Project, Hello Venus…and then we have YG Ent. upcoming girl group, DSP Ent. upcoming boyband (think they’re called A-JAX…?) and many more to come…or has debuted that I even don’t know about. See, can’t even keep track of the new groups anymore or yeah well…when have I ever kept track of new groups anyways? (My sweetest lambchops EXO are an entirely different story!!)

Then we have this new rookie group, VIXX, from Jellyfish Entertainment who’s also ready to debut, more precisely this thursday on 24th. This entertainment manages very talented artists like Seo In Guk, Sung Si Kyung and Brian Joo and the newcomers, VIXX, are not an exception. They’ve so far released 3 teasers from their upcoming debut single, Super Hero, and they do seem very promising!

Although they may seem promising, I can’t say for sure yet if they’re good or not since they haven’t even debuted yet. All I can say is that they are going up for some hard ass competition because all of the rookies that has debuted so far are ALL so damn talented! If they don’t do something to make them stand out in the horde of the new rookie groups, (and i’m not just talking about competing over who’s got the weirdest group name!) i’m afraid that they’ll easily be forgotten.

Let the competition begin!

Pledis Entertainment to debut a 17 member boy group this year

Pledis Entertainment has announced that they will be debuting a grand 17-member male idol group by the end of the year!

Tentatively named ‘Seventeen‘, the group is made up of  17 members averaging 17 year old, who have been trained not only for the domestic market, but specifically for the international market as well. Although they’re being touted as the largest K-Pop group to date, A-Peace holds the title with 21 total members.

Pledis has revealed that they will not be going the standard route of debuting the group in Korea before advancing overseas, but rather debut a group that is ready to promote in Korea, China, and Japan right from the get-go.

After their debut as a group, the boys will be split into units to promote separately in Korea, China, and Japan with promotional tactics tailored to each country.

A representative stated, “We’ve been preparing a team that is able to promote in China and Japan for a very long time. Since they’ll be specially promoting in three countries, you can consider them an official Hallyu group. Their debut is currently set for the end of the year, and we’re planning unique music and stage concepts.”

Through Seventeen, Pledis aims to create a new genre they call ‘Asia Pop’, a genre with K-Pop colors at the forefront but switched up to the tastes of the Chinese and Japan markets.

In related news, Pledis is also gearing up for the debut of After School‘s sister group, Hello Venus, next month.

Really? Like really?! 17?! I don’t even have words of how stupid I think this idea is. They just debuted NU’EST and they have a girl group, Hello Venus, AND a new boyband (I think they were called Tempest?) waiting to debut this year. I mean seriously! Focus on the artists you have right now instead of debuting new ones like you wanna kick all of your trainees out! NU’EST have really big potential and I think Pledis Ent. should just focus on promoting them AND After School right now. Bad bad idea, Pledis…bad idea!

Boyband boom 2012

2012 is starting out veeery good so far, especially in the KPOP-world where there’s a boyband boom happening right now. SM Entertainment with EXO, Pledis with NU’EST and now CUBE Entertainment with THEIR new boyband, BTOB which stands for ‘Born to Beat’, sounds pretty awesome if you ask me! They’ve just released a teaser which I think is so pretty damn A-W-E-S-O-M-E! The dancing was really slick and tight and just…awesome!
Check it out!

Aside from those three companies, YG Entertainment and DSP Entertainment (who’s managing KARA and Rainbow) are also releasing boybands! Or…i’m not sure about DSP though but i’m pretty sure YG are debuting a new boyband. Gosh i’m so excited already!! I’m really all about Korean boybands, it’s like ME *heart* Boybands hihi!

Here’s a pic I found on 6theory forum which lists all comebacks and debuts for this year.

SO AZUUM! *___* and btw, screw the previous posts about me saying that NU’EST was bland (okey, that song was bland) but I just listened to their entire single and fell in love with this song called I’m Sorry! It’s so good! Been raping the repeat button a few times already! Liked it more in Min Hyuns teaser though when he played the piano and sang with his soft, gentle voice! It was so beautiful! Nontheless, the song is very good!

NU’EST – Face

So the musicvideo for NU’EST(pronounced New East) Face just came out and i’ve actually been looking forward to their debut. Though after watching the MV, I don’t really know what I feel…I mean, the song was okey, the members looked stunning (still having a hard time with Ren xD), the MV and plot I got…but it was just…okey. Didn’t really wow me so to say except for the dubstep, which I thought was completely awesome! Other than that, it was simply okey. Maybe I just had too high expectations? I don’t know. But they sure are good for a rookie group, that’s fer sure! And this is just my opinion though, please don’t kill me haha!

Anyways, check out the video down below and tell me what you think!

Hm..so apparently NU’EST stands for NU’ Established Style Tempo which I just found out through allkpop.com.

NU’EST vs EXO

Gosh, i’m procrastinating again when I should study. But I couldn’t help vent out on the blog a little bit. Just saw this teaser on the new boyband from Pledis ent., Nu’Est (think it stands for New East no?) which allkpop posted a while ago. I gotta admit, I didn’t really like the first teaser…some of the guys looked more feminine than me with the heavy make up. But they released another teaser today with their leader BaekHo which showed his kendo skills (reminded me awful lot of Tao’s teaser) and I actually liked the dubstep they had in the song. Think they’re going with the electro-dubstep concept and i’m actually looking forward to this group and see what they’ll deliver.

BUT!! I’m so, excuse my foul language, fucking SICK of Nu’Est fans and EXO fans getting at eachother all the time! And i’m so sick of EXO getting shit every time they release a new teaser. If you don’t like it, DON’T FUCKING WATCH IT! It’s as simple as that! I don’t get why people stoop to a kindergarten level and bash them and say things like: “Oh I wish i’ll live long enough to get to see EXO debut!” or “Oh no, it’s KAI again! I’m so sick of his face!” or Nu’est fans who comment on allkpop site and say things like: “Nu’Est only need one teaser to impress, if you know what I mean.” and on the latest teaser they were like: “Who’s Tao? Never heard of him. Which group does he belong to??? :))”. Like giiirl, you obviously know who he is…daaah! And EXO fans, and this is coming from a fellow EXO fan from Sweden, please stop talking about EXO on another groups teaser and just enjoy the other groups teaser! We don’t wanna create a freakin fanwar here!

Now I’m not saying that all Nu’Est fans or EXO fans are like that, some has more common sense in them than others. But to all the other people/fans who’s bashing other groups, please shove your goddamn bashing up your ass and just enjoy what the boys are giving us. If you don’t like Nu’Est or EXO, just simply don’t watch it. It is really, REALLY just that simple. I can’t blame you guys for comparing them since they almost (just almost) have the same concept with the dubstep thingie going on but I feel that EXO has more of the sexy, mature R&B sound going on with their contemporary look and some dubstep infused  in their music while, from what I’ve seen from the teasers, Nu’Est is going for the bad boy look with electro and dubstep sound. So they’re really not that alike.

Huu…I feel a little better now that i’ve vented out my anger and I applaud you if you actually read through it all. And i’m sorry if i’ve angered anyone cause it’s really not my intention. I just want everyone to enjoy the music of their favorite boyband in peace without having anyone bash the other. Makes me so damn furious! And sorry again for my foul language.

To end this post I just wanna quote another fellow EXO fan: “It’s good that SM is releasing this teasers so we can really appreciate every single song in the album cause it deserves the appreciation, all of them are so awesome & beautifully written lyrics. if it werent for the teasers EXO will debut the full album but most of us will just be listening to the title song.” and a teaser from both EXO and Nu’Est. Now I gotta stop rambling and get on with my studies! LOL, my swedish readers who’s got no interest in KPOP must think i’m freakin crazy who can get upset over a thing like this…anyways, PEACE!

EXO – Into your world

Nu’Est – Face
